Santa Maria Day 3 and Colby's Birthday!

Wednesday 7/7 was Colby's 7th Birthday! In the morning we took it easy, breakfast, hanging out, and singing Happy Birthday to Colby. Then it was off to Toy Story 3. What a great movie! I am not embarrassed to admit that I cried. Even Chris cried a little.
This picture is of Colby opening and playing with his birthday gift. A Transformer/Iron Man crossover. He really loved it!

This is the outfit that Ryleigh wore to Toy Story 3. Grandma Judy got her dressed that day.

After the movie, being Colby's birthday, he got to choose what we were going to have for lunch. Colby wanted Chinese food. We ended up at a Thai Restaurant in Pismo Beach. It was small and formal but the food and service were great. Before the food came we were all starting to get cranky because we were hungry. Colby did a great job picking his birthday lunch!
Colby and Connor were especially cranky.

Ryleigh enjoyed the restaurant.
After lunch we went to Pismo Beach. It was a lot of fun! We had a great time running in the waves and digging in the sand. I don't like Pismo Beach as much as Avila Beach. The beach was much more crowded and it felt dirtier.
These dead birds are a good example of why I prefer Avila Beach.

Chris, Rachel, and kids playing in the ocean.
At first Aunt Bethany was just hanging out watching so the boys and I dragged her into the water. That ended up backfiring on me when her and Chris decided to drop me into a wave.
The boys love digging in the sand.
Ryleigh was worn out. She didn't care about getting covered in sand, she needed to rest.
Cade joined her.
Trying to leave the beach was quite the job. We had so much stuff to pack up. At least we were shaded by the umbrella.

On these family vacations my mom and dad always schedule a date night. So while they were gone we stayed at Hannah's house. We grilled hot dogs and played games. It was a great evening.
